Shredding for a Shot
Daniel Collazo is a musician from Miami, Florida, who is a large part of the local scene. He plays significant roles in bands such as “Tongue Tied,” and his school band, diversifying himself with different instruments.
Although he plays gigs here in Miami, he believes that the only way for him to grow and become popular as a musician is to leave Miami. “I think it’s better to leave Miami, this isn’t really a city for rock, and people don’t really pay attention to musicians,” said Collazo. Rock and Jazz talents are difficult to find in Miami. In fact, no large rock artists are from Miami, typically only Latin Jazz and other categories under Latino music.
Miami is a difficult city for music, but Danny still believes in his talent and persistence. His peers and fans all have faith in his extraordinary talent, even with the circumstances. “I definitely think he has a chance. He’s a leader on stage, and he has a certain atmosphere that lights up the stage.”
Danny Collazo has a one-in-a-million chance to become popular, but possesses a one-in-a-million talent.
