Columbus baseball takes Alonzo Mourning

The Columbus Explorer baseball team faced off in their first home game of the season against Alonzo Mourning High School. The Explorers are coming off their first state title in 14 years. But the team is looking to write their own story for the 2016 season.
The Explorers came out red hot scoring three runs in the first two innings. The hitting was something that the Explorers need more, after only hitting the ball 7 times in their last two games.
Starting pitcher Dominick Diaz was sensational, giving up 4 hits on 0 earned runs. The Explorers won the game 5-0.
